Princess and the Pea

I am curious as to why Sweet Pea is hanging out with Princess. She is smaller and appears younger, and I continue to wonder if she's her daughter, or just a hen who's decided to make herself Princess' protégé.

I noticed yesterday that Sweet Pea was limping, which is a concern, since a turkey who cannot run away quickly is at a serious disadvantage, especially when sharing space with humans. I wonder if her injuries were due to trying to escape neighborhood cats or cars, or if it was sparring with Princess that caused them. Either way, Princess continues to put her in her place. I may have to change her name to Queen.
